WOW - that's an OLD storyline!!! I started watching OLTL in the 80s and Marco Dane was still on there but not Karen Wolek (Judith Light) I think left the show in the early 80s, before I started watching.

Bored by her marriage to hard-working Larry Wolek, Karen began secretly seeing several different men around town. At first, Karen's suitors gave her expensive gifts, but she soon discovered that the men expected some "gift" from Karen in return. She became a prostitute. That was when Marco Dane (Gerald Anthony) arrived in town. Marco was Karen's former lover; he was also a professional pimp and pornographer. After his arrival, it was not long before he discovered Karen's sexual moonlightings. He coerced her into becoming one of his prostitutes. Although she at first tried to refuse, she later accepted reluctantly. Though Karen desperately wanted out, her pimp, Marco Dane, forced her to remain in "the life," and she prayed that her upstanding husband would not discover her secret.

You have all the answers that are needed to let you know where Karen went, but the thought of "Judith Light" reprising her role of Karen does my heart good. She is one fine actress and although I am sure she does many nighttime things, she will always be remembered for this role. The soft-hearted Karen who turned out to be one of the biggest stars in daytime.

Boy that would be awesome! Marco Dane (actor) Gerald Anthony is no longer living unfortunately. Judith Light is happily doing Ugly Betty but I have to say can you imagine Marco Dane dealing with Tess?? Oh yeah baby!

they could bring Karen Wolek out of witness protection and have her visit her best friend Viki. I doubt however they will be able to get Judith Light to reprise the role. She does not like to revisit characters.
