Do you feel sorry for Tyrone and Peter in Coronation Street?

I feel sorry for Peter because of just what's going on. Peter is being faithful to Leanne when he could easily just go with Carla (who is better looking), but Leanne isn't returning the favor.and she's cheating on him with someone Peter thinks is a friend in Nick. Peter has nearly died and even said Leanne saved his life. I'm going to be distraught when Peter finds out because he's worked so hard for drinking whilst with Leanne and Leanne's thrown it in his face. I feel sorry for Peter, he's done nothing wrong for this.

And for Tyrone, everything's just going bad for him. Jack died, and Jack treated him like a dad. His speech at Jack's funeral was emotional and heartfelt. Then Molly wouldn't try for another baby and thats all Tyrone dreamed of. Molly then once again broke his heart, leaving Tyrone and telling him the baby isn't his. And now soon, he's going to find out his best friend is the baby's father! And his wife Molly has now died. The love of his life died. His "father" died, his best friend betrayed him, Baby Jack isn't his. I really feel sorry for Tyrone and I hope he kicks Kevin's *** when he finds out. Tyrone needs a friend beside him now and once he finds out about Kevin, he wont have a best friend which is so upsetting, poor Ty.

I feel more sorry for Tyrone than Peter.



Peter has a past of lying & deceiving people, he was a bigamist at one time, so he is kind of reaping what he has sewn. I hope Peter turns Nick The Weasel inside out though.



Tyrone on the other hand is such an innocent.

I know he is as thick as two short planks, but he is so sweet & would have done anything for Molly. Even now, he is not phased by the fact that baby Jack is not biologically his. He is still willing to raise Jack as his own son.



I think Tyrone is adorable & I don't understand why anyone would leave him for Kevin Webster, who is just as thick, if not more so & not even nice with it.



I feel sorry for Becky & Max.

Becky would really make a great a mum & Max deserves better than his feckless cow of a mum.

Yes I feel sorry for Tyrone and have done since Molly & Kevin started to cheat on him and also Sally. Tyrone does deserve better and should marry someone who is trusting and not the one to hurt him and cause grief. Molly was very unfair to him now she's dead he is lost without hr as he loved her so much but she didn't. Its also heartbreaking because the baby whose named Jack after their friend who became a good father to them is not his either that's causes him more grief but he still insists he bring him up regardless of him not being the dad. I feel sorry for Peter because he worked hard in giving up drinking as well and Leanne betrayed him as well as Nick tempted her to come back to him and they started to have an affair.

I also feel sorry for Fiz because John is doing a lot of nasty work behind her back. First not reporting to the police when Colin Fishwick passed away in front of him & Charlotte. Then seeing Charlotte and finally hitting her with something hard was it a hammer? I also feel sorry for all the youngsters like Simon, Clare's children, Max, Becky's nephew and the other children who seem to suffer what the elders are suffering from. But some of them are too young to realise what is going on.

But don't forget this is only a soap and its not real and we must think that even in real life certain traumas & events like this can happen. So they seem to be portraying every thing at once.

Tyrone and peter are two of my favourite corrie characters.



Tyrone; i feel sorry for him, he's been through so much what with loosing vera and jack, and finding out the love of his life was having an affair with his bestfriend - and his baby boy wasn't really his.. telling molly he hated her then minutes later she's crushed in a shop and passes away. i used to hate molly for cheating on tyrone, cuz he's such a good bloke, and he would have done anything for her. an he loved that baby so much too. and it was with his bestfriend? that's just awful.



peter; he's a really strong character, done well with his drinking problem and resisted carla connor. carla's better looking? that's debatable.looks aren't everything either. leanne never mean to hurt peter and she truly loves his and simon. i also think carla was very harsh when she was kicking off at leanne over how she didn't really love them. so yeah. feel sorry for him.

I can see why Molly wanted to leave Tyrone he is nice but very dim and not very exciting.

I do feel for peter though, Leanne has done the dirty, but he refused Carla.

Having sdaid that he cheated on Leanne in the past, he hasn't always been an angel, remember he married 2 women at the same time too!

Sally is as undesirable as Kevin anyhow. She had an affair along with his best mate, Martin Platt some years returned, aswell as Kevins affair with Natalie. so they are the two hypocrites together. So, no no longer possibly. the only human beings i think sorry for is Tyrone, toddler Jack, plus Rosie and Sophie. And Claire i'm a hundred% feeling sorry for, via fact herself and Ashley have been meant to leaving for France fortunately ever after with the youngsters and it' became tragically taken faraway from them.

Yes, more so for Tyrone. I think in creating a character like him they draw upon the empathy and compassion all human beings feel towards the harm of innocence. He truly is the sweetest character in the programme and what's happening to him is horrible, it makes you think as a viewer.



I think Tyrone also portrays the love of a father even to a child that isn't his own flesh and blood, which is nice too. :)



Edit : We know it's not real, but it's simulated realism that draws upon human emotion and everyday life. That's why we watch.

Terrific question. I feel sorry for Ty, he has had his heart ripped out bit by bit until you wonder what could be left and his big heart saves him in my opinion, or at least my hope is it gets him through what the writers have yet to do to him...to me he is one of the best loved characters going right now. Vera and Jack made him their surrogate son, that makes him special and is powerful emotionally to us old time corrie fans who miss Jack and Vera. The writers on this show are really good.



We are behind in Canada, so perhaps that taints my feelings toward the Leanna/Nick affair but I don't put much of anything into it. Leanna is street wise like Peter they belong to one another for that and for the equal idiot things they have done to qualify them for hard luck characters, bigamy, and prostitution. Whereas Carla to me is quite the posh traveller, visiting many a man's lives...she is suited for that love her...go girl..



I put Sally at the top of the list for my feelings. Her scraps in the street are worth all the aggro. She is the Corrie soft spot for me anyway. She suffers a lot, especially a marriage ripe with affairs (from both of them admittedly but HE started it..). She suffers from children ripe with their idiosyncrasies..Rosie big breasts no brains or talent...and then the consolation is her lovely whats her name kiddy...I can't recall her but she is lovely and a lesbian at the moment.



One of the finest lines for me ever to date on corrie is the one Molly says in her death scene, "He chose you Sally, because you beautiful inside and out". Truer words were never spoken, Sally you are all that and more.



I know it is fiction but it pulls us in does it not? And I can relate what happens on corrie to real life experiences. It effects us I think... fiction and all.

Yeah, I feel so sorry for Peter, I mean Carla literally put it on a plate for him and he stayed faithful, I'd rather see him with Carla. I mean he's had his fair share of bad times in his life, Leanne doesn't deserve him at all. He's way to good for her.
