Any Dark Shadows memories?

Question

I was a huge Dark Shadows fan in the 60s to the end in '71! My favorite characters were Barnabas, Julia, Quentin, Willy, Maggie. etc,.

It was so creatively done and more interesting than the soaps today...they are all too much alike and are boring.....

My favorite character is all of them but I liked Barnabas. I wasn't born when Dark Shadows was in its hay-day but my mama saw some old videos in the video store, and we began watching it from then on. When we watched them, I liked the way the man who played Barnabas acted. There was also always some kind of issue with the setting on the show. A picture frame can be tilted or a wardrobe malfunction. My personal favorite issue or blooper on the show is when the show continues to tape when Barnabas stumbles on his words and clears it up - LOL!

I was a little young to fully appreciate the storyline, but I remember getting a cold chill when Barnabas Collins came onto the screen and would take possession of some female. Oh it was so romantic! It scarred me for life and now I want a real vampire of my own!



Instead, I have my kitty cats...

I used to watch that everyday, Barnabas Collins was my favorite character, I even watched the movie." House of Dark Shadows"I do not watch soaps anymore.

Barnabas was my favorite character. I couldn't hardly wait to see him every day. He was alright with me until he sealed that man up into the wall. Then I watched it no longer. Barnabas had let me down. Do you feel that way about some long term friends? Peace and God Bless.

I can't believe it... I was going through this whole television section and was thinking about "Dark Shadows" not more than 2 minutes ago. Yeah, I used to race home from school everyday to watch it!

I use to just run home after school because it started at 3:30 in the afternoon. I loved it!!!!!!! I have comic books and other stuff from the series. It really caught my attention!

I loved that show! I liked the haunting of Barnabus. I sure wish they would show this soap on soapnet. I'd watch every episode again.

yes, I enjoyed coming home from school and watching that show! I was probably in 7th grade, I can't remember. (born in 55) A few years ago the sci fi channel showed the reruns and that was pretty fun....Heck, in my opinion EVERYTHING seemed better back in those days!

The music!! The theme music was so different than anything else of that time for soaps.
