OLTL: Question about Teen Jessica?

Question

Why wasn't Jessica seeing Dr. Levin while she was regressed back to her teen years? They seemed to be counting only on Marty to help her through her problem, even after Marty was pushed down the stairs, lost her baby, and her son was sent to jail. Let's face it, Marty isn't a good psychiatrist under the best of circumstances, but with all of that going on... Don't you think someone should have considered sending Jess to Dr. Levin instead?

Of course! That was such a ridiculous s/l! She certainly should've been getting treatment from her regular psychiatrist. Her occasional talks with Marty just didn't cut it. As you said, Marty isn't that great at best, but she had A LOT going on. Instead her family acted like they just had to play along and indulge her until her memories came back on their own. Now, if this was another family, unused to seeking professional help... but THAT family! No, it made absolutely no sense other than to drag out a very annoying and unrealistic s/l.

That was by far one of the stupidest s/l's OLTL ever came up with, even worse than the Hidden City of Eterna. None of it made sense. At least with Eterna, I would stretch belief to include a megalomaniac building a hidden city under his property. Them not getting Jessica proper help, Vicki leaving the country - none of it made sense, and I felt like the writers were truly insulting the viewers. And as for Marty, from what I've seen, she can't even make up her mind, let alone counsel someone else.

Of course they should have but HE unlike Marty Dr. Levin is a professional and would have not indulged her fantasy. They needed someone dumb as Martyr to indulge her fantasy. I am so glad they put the brakes on that stupid plot.

I agree. I was wondering why they didn't send her to someone else. With Marty's personal troubles alone that should have been enough for Viki to send herback to the dr that helped before.
