I do. I loved that show. I watched it from the very beginning until the end of the series every day after school. Couldn't wait to get home to watch it. In fact a few weeks ago I was going through some of my old record albums and found the soundtrack to Dark Shadows. Haven't had a chance to play it though.

I even went to see the movie "House of Dark Shadows" when it came out in the movies. My best friend and I begged her father to take us to see it. He was not a fan at all but he was a good sport at the time to take us. Never got to see the second movie "Night of Dark Shadows". Don't think it was out for very long.

Anyway, thanks for bringing back some memories. Especially of my best friend whom I stayed friends with through the years until she died a few years ago in a car accident.

Yes, I remember it vaguely as a child. Roughly four years ago the sci-fi channel was showing two episodes of Dark Shadows a day. I got hooked on that show. It was the bomb! I loved Barnabas and all the other great characters. Kate Jackson from Charlie's Angels was on there, as well as a lot of other actors and actresses. There was something so mysterious and other-worldly about that show. I loved watching it!

I was one of those teens who rushed home in the evenings to watch Barnabas Collins and everyone's favorite witch-to-hate Angelique. Most of the guys I know who watch soaps started by watching Dark Shadows.

Hi-I was just thinking about it last night! Along with OLTL and GH...Dark Shadows was a huge part of my pre-school and kindergarten viewing habit. My Mom and younger sister would pick me up from Kindergarten and we would run home to watch it-that was before there were VCRs. My sister and I would each sit on one side of our Mom and she would put her arms around our necks to protect us from Barnabas. I bought several VHS tapes in the late 80's and brought them over to my parents house, where my sister still lived. One afternoon, we were sitting on the couch and "protected" each other. My Dad, who was retired and self employed was downstairs in the basement. Debbie and I were watching...alternately screaming and laughing hysterically,,,(did anyone say, a bit campy?) and we heard my Dad stomping up the stairs, stopping at the doorway between the kitchen and the living room, looking at us and saying "What the ?" (he stopped there :)...then he looked at the TV and muttered something, kind of smiled and shook his head, turned and headed back downstairs. One of my BEST memories, thanks! Both parents are gone now and Debbie lives out of state.

P.S. The '95 version with Ben Cross is on DVD and has much better acting-hair raising effects and a quicker pace...great TV. Too bad that it didn't get past season one... : (

OMG- Now I'm having flashbacks of insanely heavy eye makeup and pancake foundation so thick they must've applied it with trowels. Not quite as much fun as Rocky Horror, but it had its moments.

Are you referring to Victoria and Barnabas and the gang? That was one well written show. I loved it! My mom and I used to watch it daily.

Oh yea. I used to have the series on DVD. (before my housefire last year ) I used to watch it in re-reruns as a kid with my dad.

Yea, sometimes it was cheesy as hell, but the storyline itself (not the acting...LOL) was great!!
