SMALLVILLE finale question.?
I saw in the preview Clark is walking away from a funeral. Whose funeral do you think this is going to be? Do you think it will be chole's. Do you think that they will actually kill her off after ten seasons' so that Clark can finally fully become superman?

It's hard to say...

while 1978's Superman established than Martha lived into old age... and 1986's Man of Steel Comic reset it so that Jonathan lived as well so that from 86-06 both lived.. and in certain comic arcs and SV Jonathan dies again for a good stretch from 40s to the 70s BOTH Ma and Pa died..

-- so Martha's death could be a viable option -- with that Schneider's return for the Finale could be them reunited in the afterlife

-- Chloe could die too, as cited she is a SV original creation.. and Canon dictates that Ollie ends up with Black Canary -- her death could be the redemption Ollie needs from his "Omega brand"

-- Tess by and large is a Smallville creation as well... and after her joining the good guys her death would resonate-- especially in light of Lex coming back in some way

-- then of course there is the option that one of the Justice League could be sacrificed: Bart/Impulse being at the top of the list for 2 reasons:

A SV has been careful not to commit to a specific version of the Flash and

B in assorted elseworld arcs Flash's death is often a catalyst for the League to cross certain Moral Lines... so his death could be Darkseid's attempt to make Clark go Dark and CK will need to keep himself in check

It's possible, as others have noted she could very well die. I always thought that Chloe dying would be the final push for him to become Superman and not just "The Blur." TJan said about how Oliver ends up with Black Canary (sorry can't remember her name). It's possible however, I don't think that will happen in this Smallville universe. If Chloe dies then that could be a hint towards him with Black Canary, but I don't think it will happen on screen. So it could be her. However, I have a feeling it might be Tess. I don't think she will survive the season. Although I'm usually wrong about these things. :-P

I always felt that Chloe needed to be killed off eventually as she was specifically created for the show and was never a part of the old Superman mythology. But will she be the one to be killed? Who knows, it would be sweet if they gave her the happy ending with Oliver but perhaps the death of Chloe is what ensures Clark becomes Superman.

The real Lex is returning so I think it might be him! I love Smallville, hope it isn't Chloe!

No, that funeral comes from a different episode that Chloe isn't in.
