Question:
GH Isn't anyone hating Jason?
?

My friend just made a really good point about Jason. He chooses to let the mob be his life when he's got other options. He could be with Liz and his son. He should have left the mob all together after Jake was almost killed in the cabin.

Secondly, way back when he was with Sam before, she got shot in his arms and he still stayed in the mob? I guess the people in his life have to die before it matters.

To make the list longer, look what happened to Michael! I'm a die hard Jason fan but he's done a lot of wrong and the fans never bash him...they bash Sam, Liz, Carly, Sonny, etc. WTF?

Since I was a big girl and didn't pick a side or bash another...let's do the same...for this question. We can love and hate later! LOL!

I know, it is frustrating! Did you see the way he looked at Liz and Jake today? He needs to make a decision. I know leaving the mob isn't easy but others have done it. Luke did, he is still living. What really makes me mad about Jason is he claims he loves Jake more than anything but then is messing around with Sam again. As a parent I just dont buy that!

he really doesn't have an option. Think about it, how hard would it be for Jason or anyone to just get out of the mob? Look at Sonny!! Great example of someone who tried to leave the mob but his son was shot anyway!!!

It's easy to say but another thing to do. Jason even explained that there was no turning back for him now. He said he would love to leave the mob and raise Jake but it's too dangerous because he has too many enemies at this point. Regardless of whether he was associated with the mob or not. The deeds are done.

Don't you think Jason has been torturing himself for years? Even since he met Sonny and became his right hand man, he has had to live a sad and lonely life.

I really respect Jason because you can see how this life has hurt him with his relationships with his son, with Michael, with Sam, with Elizabeth, and even with Robin when they dated. That's why she left and went to Paris in the first place. She had to get away from Jason and the mob lifestyle.

If Jason hadn't have gotten into that car accident that gave him amnesia and brain damage, he would have recovered and become the doctor that he wanted to be instead of joining the mob. And then we would have no Jason because lets face it, Jason definitely makes GH fun.

It's really Sonny's fault for Jason's life as this point. ha. He was the one that introduced him to the mob lifestyle when Jason was trying to recover.

Exactly, look at what happened to Michael! That is a perfect example of why he can never truly be out of the mob. Sonny was trying to turn his life around and because of his past in the mob his son ended up shot and lost a year of his life. Jason isn't willing to take that risk the way Sonny was. It's so sad that Jason isn't a parent to Jake but I truly think Jason is doing what he thinks is best. I don't think getting out of the mob is an option.

I completely agree with you. I always wonder how people constantly feel free to beat up on Sonny, but no one notices that Jason is just another version of him. Just about every relationship that Jason has had with a woman has ended over his violent life. I really thought that when he found out that he was going to be a father, they he would try to change things around, but no such luck. Instead, he would rather live in the same town with his son and be a few feet away from him and not even touch him.

I really can't stand this obsession that he has with Claudia either. It's becoming ridiculous. It's not that I give a care about Claudia, but what is done is done. Let fate deal with Claudia on it's own. There are so many other things that the writers could have Jason waste his energy thinking about. Obviously Sonny is unwilling to deal with it at the moment, so why keep wasting good dialogue with it?

As much as I love Jason, it's always bothered me that he never even TRIED to get out of the mob to be with Liz and his son! Even Sonny tried, but the mob is Sonny's life. And Sonny can have wives, girlfriends, and children without worrying too much about their safety. I understand Jason's fears for the people that are close to him and that's why I understand why he can't be with Liz or be a father to Jake, but even if he failed, why wouldn't he at least make the attempt? He's so good at figuring out strategies for doing his job, why hasn't he ever tried to figure out a strategy for leaving the mob? He always seems like he's hurting so much over not being able to be with Jake, so why would powerful Jason just give up?

Jason and Sonny have made it clear MANY times that it's very difficult/near impossible to successfully leave the mob. Which Sonny has tried. After Sam was shot Jason broke up with Sam because he thought he was too dangerous for her, but she's an adult, who, as we all know, can handle Jason's lifestyle.

If he was a part of Jake's life, he'd be putting him in danger. Jake's just a baby, I think that if he was an adult, it wouldn't be as big of an issue. Just like Dante and Sonny. Sonny really isn't a danger to Dominic anymore.

I like Jason too. One thing does irritate me about Jason and it is his vengeance for Claudia. Of course he is correct, and he has a tape of Claudia putting a hit out on Jerry Jax when his car blew up. But that doesn't prove that she was responsible for Michael's shooting. It is his intuition that tells him that Claudia is responsible. And everybody in the mob is treacherous - what makes her so different than anybody else? Is it because she is a woman? I think it is this that bothers me the most about Jason.

Yes, I remember him and Liz together, but they never could make a go of it and they tried several times. They were right to let it go when the kids got kidnapped and almost died. Thanks to Sam they didn't!

I remember back when Jason first had his accident that caused the brain damage. He didn't have any memory of who he was and this was when he hooked up with Sonny. And Robin Scorpio and him hooked up - boy he made me angry back then too. He made friends with Carly - she was new to town; Robin was dumping Jason at the time that he and Carly started heating up; boy was she a headache and as much as Carly and him were tight he was still in love with Robin who vindictively went after Carly. I guess I just was aggravated with him for loving Robin.

In fact I still am!

A Hit Man has a lot emeries, can't just leave the mob. Sonny is the one that got him start in it. He don't want to put Liz and Jake life in danger.

it is the entire element, RIC is infantile!! Even his father informed him to enhance up and recover from his stupid obsession with Sonny on the day he died. Ric's hatred of Jason is with the help of the shown fact that for the duration of Ric's warped universe Jason takes the placement of him in Sonny's life/heart.

I'm proud that a Liason fan could be so fair and objective. You're right though...nobody ever bashes the crap out of Jason! That's not right. Sam has no morals if she'd go back to that. Same for Liz! Poor Jake...his daddy just doesn't love him enough....Sorry I had to bash a little.

YES!! I agree 100%. Jason looked at Elizabeth and Jake like he was dying to be with them. He CAN!! be if he just leaves the freaking mob for good. Nooooooooooooo he wants to be a dumb@ss and be with a slut like Sam.
